I am an independent teacher, academic coach, and mentor with 25 years of experience working directly with middle school, high school, and college students as a tutor, classroom teacher, and school administrator. I’m based in Berkeley, CA and available in person in the East Bay and virtually on Zoom.
I was born and raised in Missouri, but the San Francisco Bay Area has been my home for more than 30 years. I have degrees in English and Romance Languages and professional training and interest in equity grading, Universal Design for Learning, and educational leadership. In addition to teaching and learning, my interests include bass guitar (I’m a beginner!), cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and the Golden State Warriors, cooking and eating delicious food, and hanging out with my long-haired Chihuahua mix, Roxie.
